At GDC in Japan, Nintendo detailed the latest iteration of their middleware tool for Developers called Nintendoware Bezel Engine. This appears to be for developers that could use the engine to cut down on development time for the Nintendo Switch similar to how companies are using Unreal Engine 4 to save money and time. Activision appears to have sent a tease to IGN’s main office in the form of a purple egg with a message attached.

Steam might be on the way to death. I still wish that Steam would merge with Nintendo, handle all the purchasing bits so it ended up like Steam purchases on all Nintendo Systems, and Nintendo would make all the games… including valve games. Half-Life as a Nintendo franchise would mean one every 6 years! That is my dream.

Official switch middleware from Nintendo sounds both awesome and ingenious. The switch can use all the help it can get.

Hey Jon(SW) wassup. The Nintendo middleware engine sounds a really neat idea and i would like too more Dev’s n Studios checking it out and seeing what they can come up with using that Engine. Spyro i would prefer it came out too all platforms right of the bat rather than a timed exclusive but if thats the way it’s gotta be then that is cool. I am playing Shadow of War at the mo and not really noticed any microtransactions but i haven’t been really been looking too be honest, I have played around 8-10hrs so far, it’s a very good game and removing microtansactions is always a good thing in my book. Steam Machines was cool for what they are but you are better off guys getting a PC or Gaming Laptop or just sticking with Consoles. Next Inside Xbox episode sounds interesting for the Xbox fans out there.

Playing Spyro on anything but PlayStation is weird.
