I’ve really been enjoying this one. Just unlocked the first portal in chapter 2, and while it is annoying that your supplies disappear it hasn’t ruined the experience for me since I saw this review beforehand. Had I not known about it beforehand I may have been seriously annoyed. The combat is where I have my biggest gripes with the game, and after having just read a ton on Dragon Quest Builders 2, it doesn’t appear as though these two areas are going to change.

actually i’m glad this game isn’t as free and open as minecraft, because for me this gets boring after a while. i like having a story and quests and… yeah a purpose

What? Steven reviewing this WASN’T an April Fools joke? Hurray! Seriously, though. Please consider doing more reviews, Steven. 🙂

I have only played this on Vita, not having purchased a Switch yet. The game isn’t perfect, but I enjoyed it all the same. Great fun on the go.

Thanks for the review, Steven! Been wanting to pick this one up, actually. ^^

Playing through DQ Builders right now, overall I like this game, but some of the Sub-boss monsters are OP. and its really annoying having to Eat as well as maintain health all the time. If it was not for the Game Guide I might not find Protective rings to wear. I feel the day / night lengths are too Short for Day (for Quests) and Night . the Game Guide provides only a basic Instruction, I had to watch youtube videos to learn Advanced block placing. and There is NO official game guide for the Switch…..and officially the PS4 Guide is out of print….thank god to Amazon.

It’s Dragon Quest not Minecraft? This is a top 5 DQ game.
